Managed services providers come in lots of different flavors. Some are large, some are small. Some are really expensive, and some are really cheap (in more than one way). Some offer 24 X 7 support for all support calls, but did you know that many of them outsource their level one and after hours support functions to third party companies utilizing overseas support technicians? Here at Computer Concepts, we have no grand illusions of being the biggest MSP in south Louisiana. We do want our customers to feel like they are being treated fairly, and that there is value in the services that we provide to them.
Computer Concepts was founded in Lafayette, Louisiana as a part-time business venture in February 1999 by Tim Thousand. After a year of working out of his home, and holding down a full time job with another employer, Tim decided that it was time to take it to the next level. Computer Concepts moved into its first commercial office space in Lafayette’s Oil Center in the summer of 2000 and hired its first full-time employee shortly thereafter.
Things have changed pretty dramatically since that time. Our service offerings have expanded from building and selling computers to offering full service computer and networking services, business telephone systems, and full networking services including local and remote administration capabilities. We moved to a new location near the intersection of Interstate 10 and Interstate 49 in the fall of 2003. Our new location provides us with more than three times the amount of office space than we previously had, along with warehouse space, which is just an added bonus, or as we like to say here in South Louisiana, lagniappe.

Today, we have more employees, more resources, and more abilities to help our customers achieve their goals when it comes to their technology needs. Our product offerings have expanded to include top name manufacturer brands including Cisco, HP, Lenovo, Lexmark, Microsoft, and NEC. Our normal service area includes all of Louisiana, southwest Mississippi, and the southeast Texas.
