Computer Concepts is accepting applications for  the position of Computer Support Specialist.  The ideal candidate must be an energetic and outgoing people person, who is serious about technology. He or she must have excellent interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work with other employees and customers in a professional manner under all conditions.  Applicants must be able to work independently, and must possess excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills in an advanced capacity.

Job Description:

The Computer Support Specialist position is a mid to high level support position.  Some of the job duties of a Customer Support Specialist include:

  • Setting up new desktop and server computers for customers
  • Configuring and maintaining customer routers and security appliances
  • Setting up networked and shared printers
  • Managing Active Directory, Group Policy, and other Windows domain services
  • Troubleshooting and resolving problems with customer applications
  • Installing hardware and software upgrades
  • Opening, updating, and closing trouble tickets
  • Documenting customer networks and configurations
  • Managing Exchange or other mail server applications
  • Configuring email or other applications on customer mobile devices
  • Pulling and terminating network and/or telephone cabling

Preferred Skills:


  • Experience installing and maintaining Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Windows based application software such as Microsoft Office, Quickbooks, Peachtree, Firefox, and Internet Explorer.
  • Experience with mobile technologies such as iPhone & Android.
  • Ability to adapt to new situations and quickly learn new software applications.
  • A desire to continue learning new technology and skills.
  • Excellent written & oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Dependable transportation.
  • Clean driving record.  

Definite Pluses

  • Experience working in a client/server (domain) environment.
  • Experience with cloud computing management.
  • Experience with Cisco, Check Point and/or Sophos routing and/or security products.
  • Experience supporting dental practices.
  • Linux server administration.
