Computer Concepts has been providing support services to the dental community for the better part of two decades. Whether you’re adding a new machine to your existing office, opening your first practice, or moving to a larger facility with two dozen operaties, we can help. We have experience in all of the major dental practice software and hardware, but predominately support Dentrix and Eaglesoft practices. In addition, we are authorized resellers of XDR intraoral X-Ray products.
We understand that most dental practices maintain active support contracts for their practice management and imaging software, and we certainly wouldn’t recommend anything else. There are occasions though when you need ‘boots on the ground’, and that’s where we come in. Unlike some of our competitors, we don’t charge a monthly retainer, and we won’t try to lock you into a contract for services. We’ll do as much or as little as you want us to do, and you simply pay for services rendered. We can also work with you to set up a budget for your technology expenditures so that you’re not faced with unanticipated equipment failures and expenses.
If you’re opening a remote office, or you need to securely access data on your network from outside your office, you should consider implementing a Site-to-Site Virtual Private Network (VPN). VPNs allow companies with remote offices to seamlessly connect those offices. Users in one location have access to network resources in the other office(s), and vice-versa. Of course, access to resources can be limited based on policies either at the VPN appliance level, or at the domain controller level, assuming that a server with domain controller capabilities is installed and properly configured.
For your road warriors, third party services for remote access are great, but a private VPN takes it to the next level. Your users can have access to all of the resources they would when they’re sitting at their desk in the office, without having to relay through a server in some unknown location. Should that employee decide to take a new job at another company, it’s an easy task to revoke his or her VPN access.
In addition to the benefits of VPN technology, the Cisco ASA platform provides the security your office needs for protection from the bad guys. Cisco has been a standard bearer since the mid-1990s for Internet connectivity and protection. Many people have the misconception that anything from Cisco is overpriced, and difficult to work with. On the contrary, many of Cisco’s products, especially those geared toward the small and medium business segment, are very reasonably priced and easy to manage.
